520 _aExceedingly scarce. "Seven photo essays on Karachi and architecture." Beautiful photographs, some in color and some in black and white. The book is in oblong format, 14.25" x 9 5/8". From the title page to the end of the book, all pages are clean and undamaged. The front pastedown (inside front cover) and first few pages are wrinkled and creased. Front board is a little warped. A few minor patches of soiling or spots on the front and back covers. The dust jacket shows very slight soiling, some creases near the top and bottom edges, but no chips or tears. Book and dust jacket will be bubble-wrapped and carefully packed in a sturdy box to ensure safe transit. This is a heavy volume that will require extra funds for expedited shipping or shipping outside of the United States. The articles included in the book include: "Preface" by Arshad Faruqui and Amean J.; "Forward" by Habib Fida Ali; "Balconies" by Samina Ibrahim with photos by Tapu Javeri; "Soldier Bazaar: A Cross Section" by Farid Alvie with photos by Arif Mahmood; "Making of the Colonial Soup" by Moyena A. Niazi with photos by Farah Mahbub; "Fading Footsteps" by Sheeraz Y. Wania with photos by Izdeyar Setna; "Environmental Portraits" by Farzad Bagheri; "Architectural Reflections/Stories Untold" by Arif Hasan with photos by Fareena Chanda; and "In Memory of Prosperity" with excerpt from the Independence Day Speech of Quaid-e-Azam with photos by Amean J.
